I love this little place. Great food, great service, great price. Take out or dine in, just eat it while it's hot to enjoy it's yummy flavorfulness. Evnlen the dishes I'm typically not keen on they make enjoyable here. Not a bad item on the menu. You won't be sorry stopping for lunch here.

i don't care what anyone says I like the margarita's here. I usually get the classic margarita on the rocks. I think the price is around $6? The salsa has a bite to it that you don't notice right away! The food is kinda bland though. i ordered the super burrito with pork... ya not much flavor.

Probably my favorite Mexican place in town. The carne asada was amazing, and the margaritas were perfect. Although it's a taste preference I suggest getting them on the rocks. My friend got hers blended, and mine was clearly better. Great staff, great ambiance, the food tastes fresh. Plus the salsa was to die for. Not sure what the naysayers are complaining about. People have one slow service experience and they act like A. Their life is ruined, and B. Their one time experience reflects the entirety of everything. Who knows what was going on that day? Every time I've been here the service was great.

This place has gone down hill . The beef nachos were super soggy and were hardly edible. The service had gone down hill as well. Last week the waitress took it upon herself to give her self a hefty tip from my debit card. When I called her out on it the next day I got a bull sh** story.

I e eaten here twice now and had great experiences each time. Very friendly service and a minimal wait time. Great food that was served hot. Haven't tried the margaritas yet so I can't comment on those, so hopefully next time.

solidly good mexican food. my chicken tostada was good. nothing over the top. the guac was really good. hubby's ground beef enchi and taco were alright. rice was a bit bland, and he thought the same of the refried beans. the gal working the restaurant who took our order, served our meals and took care of our bill was awesome. she was cheery, knowledgeable of the meals and quick.

A one star rating doesn't capture our experience at this place. We waited at least 15 minutes after being seated for the server to take our drink order. Then we waited over 20 minutes for our food. We also had to chase down the waitress to get our check. Then she proceeded to complain and blame other customers for our wait. The food was actually decent when it finally came. Another important thing to note is that this used to be a Taco John's and has been converted to a sit down restaurant. They should have kept it a fast food place, the service would certainly have been better.

The service I received here was incredible. Huge smile, way nice, and super helpful in deciding what to order. I got an enchilada and tamale with rice and beans. OH MY HEAVENS. The beans were soooo amazing!!!!! The rest of my meal was a little too mild for me but I put a spoonful of their salsa on my meal and that fixed it up. The salsa was SPICY HOT so be warned! I also enjoyed a large margarita and it had me tipsy by the time I was leaving. Haha! It was so flavorful and could definitely get you in trouble. My husband ordered the special which was a chicken fajita type meal. He thought it was good/okay. Overall, the place was a little too mild/bland but they definitely have a great menu and I'd definitely go back. Also, if anybody knows how to make beans like theirs, please let me know! Normally I'm the type to skip the beans but don't make that mistake here!!

Very Very good food. But the Margaritas BLOW. Confused why one would name there restaurant after their worst item on the menu...

Got so excited over the first visit I insisted on sharing it with friends last night. Could've been a different cook, or maybe it was because they were busy (and they were not on my first visit) but the food was not quite the same. One in our party actually got sick, and two of us left not feeling great. Will give this place another chance for sure. It was too good the first go round not to think they were just having an "off" night. Service was still very good, fast and friendly though.

Who knew? Fresh made to order authentic Mexican Food, atmosphere & hospitality in Coos Bay! Love Margarita's. "Must Go" place. I only wish the owner of the building would at least keep up the landscape & sidewalk maintenance. If your tenant does better so will you as the landlord & also improve your community.

I found this place off of Yelp and i have to agree with the reviews. Love the atmosphere, staff was awesome, food was fantastic, close to my hotel and the margaritas are yummy! Definitely glad we tried it. We had the cheese cryspy, chicken enchiladas and cheese enchiladas they were so good. Chips are fresh and they bring it with salsa and a cabbage slaw which was amazing! Thanks Yelp!

The pico de gallo is five stars in itself. I asked the server if I could get the recipe. Apparently it's top secret! Ya, it's that good. I got the lunch special chimichanga with rice and beans for $6.50. Good portion size and everything was tasty. The margaritas looked amazing but I can't start drinking at noon so I had to pass. Will return as often as I can.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
